Notable Citizens

 On March 22nd, 2011, at Coffee with the Mayor, Bill Connors was honoured as the Town's Volunteer Representative of the Year.  Bill was nominated by Minas Lodge for his exemplary volunteer work with many area organizations.  Bill represented the Town of Parrsboro at the Provincial Volunteer Awards in Halifax in April.  Congratulations Bill!

On Friday, January 22nd, 2010 Shirley Robinson was presented with a cut-glass sculpture in recognition of the many contributions made to Cumberland County and the Town of Parrsboro by her late husband and former Mayor, Doug Robinson.  On hand for the presentation were Mayor Lloyd Jenkins of Oxford, Warden Keith Hunter of the Municipality of the County of Cumberland, Deputy Mayor Terry Rhindress of Amherst, Mayor Allan Dill of Springhill and Mayor Lois Smith of Parrsboro.
