The (Post) Mistress, book, lyrics and music by Tomson Highway, makes it Atlantic Canada premiere.  Directed by Ship's Company's Artistic Producer Matthew Tiffin, the snow stars Martha Irving with musicial direction from pianist Holly Arnsenault and saxophone by Mitchell Clarke.  A charming new musical by one of Canada's most original writers, The (Post) Mistress recounts the journey of a small-town postmistress who has an uncanny ability to guess the contents of sealed letters that pass through her hands.  Marie-Louise has worked at the same post office for many years and knows the tales, gossip and emotional life of her community.  Through the letters (songs) she lays bare the intimate secrets of people's lives.
