Yin Yoga uses gentle, long held postures with an attitude of compassionate acceptance to awaken the more yin parts of our bodies. The yin parts of the body being your connective tissue, bones and ligaments. Practicing Yin Yoga regularly will not only reduce pain but will also help return the freedom of movement your joints have had in the past. Yin Yoga is also great for balancing your emotions and creating a sense of peace of mind. It is a great style of yoga to improve your meditation practice as well. This Yin practice balances the Yang of Vinyasa Yoga. |
