Spring Bird Migration.  Come to the Fundy Geological Museum to discover how to follow the spring bird migration from the Gulf of Mexico to Nova Scotia using weather radar.  At 2:00pm we will go on a walk to see some of these migrating birds.

Highest Tides for the Year are Now!  Come to the Fundy Geological Museum to talk about the giant tides in the Bay of Fundy.  At 2:00pm we will visit those places in Parrsboro that are most likely to flood when strong winds combine with high waters.

Mummichogs are Fish Designed for Survival.  Come to the Fundy Geological Museum to see a school of Mummichogs in an aquarium, and hear about their ability to survive on earth and in outer space.  At 2:00pm we will put on our boots and go to the saltmarsh to try and catch some.

Ferns have Fiddleheads.  Come to the Fundy Geological Museum to see a display of about 16 ferns that grow in the Parrsboro area.  Some of them are very rare in Nova Scotia and are found only on cool, shaded, moist rocky cliffs in steep-sided river valleys in the Cobequid Mountains.

Mushrooms are Popping Up Early:  Mushrooms come in a variety of shapes from caps to cones, from fingers to cups.  And colours range from bright yellow through scarlet red, flaming orange, pancake brown and deep purple. Abundant rainfall and cold overnight temperatures have encouraged our local mushrooms to pop up earlier than usual.  Come to the Fundy Geological Museum to see our display.
