Vintage Christmas (Thu. 17 Nov, 2016 10:00 am)

The Town of Parrsboro, the Merchants of Main Street and beyond invite you to our  "Vintage Christmas Open House".  The streets come alive with Christmas spirit as they are transformed to an era gone by.  Bring your family and friends and experience 4 days of nostalgic holiday shopping.  All the downtown merchants will deck their stores in Christmas finery including vintage window displays. 

The Christmas Market is held at the Anglican Church Hall on these dates and times (contact Nadine for more info)

Thursday, Nov. 17th from 4pm-8pm

Friday, Nov. 18th from 4pm-8pm

Saturday, Nov. 19th from 9am-5pm

Friday, Nov. 18th at 6:30pm - Christmas Tree lighting with refreshments and free family film afterwards at the Hall.

Saturday, Nov. 19th from 9am-4pm - Elementary School Christmas Sale.

Saturday, Nov. 19th from 2pm-4pm - Music at Black Rock Bistro.

Saturday, Nov. 19th - 7pm - Ship's Company Theatre Christmas Concert at High School.

Santa Claus Parade is on Friday, December 2nd.

And....Christmas Angel Tree for elementary children

Donations of gently used coats, hats & mitten accepted at the market

8:00am Swan Creek Road Landfill Open for Leaf & Yard Waste (Fri. 18 Nov, 2016 8:00 am - 5:00 pm)

Leaves and yard waste will be accepted at a designated location at the former Swan Creek Road Landfill between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm.  Materials can be either loose or bagged, however, bags must be emptied on site.  Other garbage or materials are strictly prohibited.  Residents are responsible for the transportation and disposal of their yard waste and the removal of any prohibited materials they may deposit.  An attendant will be on duty to give directions to the proper deposit site and to ensure compliance with these guidelines.
