  • Time: 10:00am at the Fundy Geological Museum
  • Place: We will travel by car caravan to the FORCE interpretive centre in Black Rock, 8 km west of Parrsboro.
  • What we will do:  The FORCE staff will give us a guided tour to show us how underwater turbines will harness tidal energy to produce our electricity.

Orange Butterfiles Love Yellow Hawkweed

  • Time:  10:00am at the Fundy Geological Museum for this family oriented event.
  • Place:  We will travel by car caravan to Spence Road, 4 km north of Parrsboro.
  • What we will do:  Fritillary butterflies are flocking to yellow hawkweed flowers to sip nectar and mate.  We could see 15 to 40 of these large butterflies as we walk along a short trail through a sugar maple stand.
  • Length of event:  1.5 hours
