Handbuilding Ceramic Sculpture with Jessica Sallay-Carrington.  Learn a hollowed solid sculpting technique.  Featured in more than a dozen group shows, Jess had her first solo exhibition, Faunacloset, in 2014 at Montreal's Mouseprint Gallery.  This is a 4-day workshop from 10am-3pm on Sunday May 10th, Saturday May 16th & Sunday May 17th, and Saturday May 30th.

On the first day we will build the solid sculptures.  Days two and three will be for hollowing, surface treatments such as adding textures and creating detail. On day 4 we will be glazing.

This technique is beneficial for building larger pieces, but also is useful for smaller works.  All materials and firing included.
